По данным Международного Эпизоотического Бюро с 16 января по 22 января 2016 г. в мире зафиксировано 115 вспышек особо опасных болезней животных.

Очаги африканской чумы свиней (АЧС) отмечены в Польше (1), Литве (1) и Латвии (17).

According to the OIE data 115 outbreaks of highly dangerous animal diseases were reported in the world from January 16 to 22, 2016.

ASF outbreaks were reported in Poland (1), Latvia (1) and Lithuania (17).

Upon the information received from the Regional National Veterinary Laboratory of the Republic of Crimea on January 27, 2016 ASFV genetic material was detected in samples of pathological material from carcasses of domestic pigs belonging to private farm “Martins S.M.”, Novosyolovskoye Settlement, Razdolnensky Raion, Republic of Crimea. The diagnosis was confirmed in 6 samples taken from dead animals.

94 food samples of animal and plant origin were submitted to the Testing Centre of the FGBI “ARRIAH” subordinated to the Rosselkhoznadzor from January 11 to 27, 2016.

316 tests for organoleptic and quality parameters as well as for the detection and quantification of amphenicols, nitroimidazoles, aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, penicillins, sulfanilamides, quinolones, coccidiostatics, pyrethroids, OPC, mycotoxins, toxic elements, pesticides, nitrates and nitrites were carried out.

Reference Laboratory for Avian Viral Diseases of the subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” performs regular monitoring, evaluation and analysis of epidemic situation of some quarantine and economically important avian diseases. Avian leukosis is among diseases which can be referred to circulating diseases reported in poultry farms of Russia and the CIS countries.

The commissioning testing of methodical recommendations for RNA viruses’ identification using next-generation sequencing (pyrosequencing) were successfully completed in the Reference Laboratory for Avian Viral Diseases of the FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor.

In September 2015 basing on the Law of the Russian Federation No 5340-1, d/d 07.07.1993 the FGBI Federal Centre for Animal Health under the Rosselkhoznadzor received the Certificate on Inclusion into the Non-Government Register of Russian establishments and entrepreneurs whose financial and economic state is indicative of their reliability as partners for entrepreneurship in the Russian Federation and abroad.

Ten samples of animal’s brains were tested for rabies in the subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” in August 2015. The samples had been received from Vladimir, Moscow and Tver Oblasts in the framework of the national program.

The Rosselkhoznadzor-subordinated FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” (Vladimir) received the RF Patent No. 256547 for invention of inactivated sorbate vaccine against type A foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) virus. Invention is related to veterinary virology and biotechnology.

Foot-and-mouth disease is a highly dangerous quarantinable epidemic acute disease of cloven-hoofed animals characterized by the virus type and variant variability, high contagiousness and various transmission routes.

Range of drugs for animals is constantly increasing which makes the choice of the most suitable drug quite difficult. Nevertheless, considering the fact that conventional antibacterial drugs do not always meet current requirements (due to insufficient efficacy) monitoring of the structure and level of microorganism resistance to drugs has become quite important.

The epidemic situation on highly pathogenic avian influenza remains tense in many regions of the world. From the beginning of 2015 disease outbreaks were registered in flocks of poultry and populations of wild birds in 33 countries of Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America. Influenza virus H5N1, detected in territories of 24 countries, as well as related viruses of subtypes H5N8, H5N2, H5N6 were most widely spread.

In August 2015 the “Russian Research Institute for Certification JSK” (OAO “VNIIS”), authorised Authority in the area of certification, conducted the inspection control of the current quality system at the subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” for compliance with the requirements of GOST P 52249-2009 with the aim of its recertification.

According to the information of the World Organisation for Animal Health for August 2015 countries reported on 374 outbreaks of animal highly dangerous diseases.

According to the OIE 109 outbreaks of highly dangerous animal diseases were registered around the world from June 27 to July 3, 2015.

One ASF outbreak was registered in Russia (Vel’ye settlement, Rylsky Raion, Kursk Oblast). Also, ASF outbreaks were registered in Latvia (15), Lithuania (2) and Estonia (3). One rabies outbreak was registered by the Veterinary Service of Slovakia.

During the period from June 23 to July 1, 2015, Testing Centre of the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal health” received for testing 325 samples of food and raw materials of animal and plant origin.

2264 tests were performed in the laboratory. The tests were aimed at detection and identification of GMI, mycotoxins, nitrofurans, sulfanilamides, quinolones, antibiotics in food and feed. Microbiological tests were also performed.
