During the period from July 1 to July 3, 2015, the testing laboratory (TL) passed the procedure for its competence attestation performed by the accreditation expert group of the OOO National Certification Centre. The Procedure was performed following the Order of the Federal Accreditation Service “Procedure for competence attestation of Veterinary Preparation Testing Laboratory (TL) of the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate Federal Governmental State-Financed Institution “Federal Centre for Animal Health”” as of May 5, 2015 No. 5135.

According to the information of the World Organisation for Animal Health 178 outbreaks of animal highly dangerous diseases were registered in April 2015.

Thus, in earlier free from highly pathogenic avian influenza countries (Russia and Niger) one outbreak of the disease was detected in each country. Veterinary services of Costa-Rica reported on Newcastle disease outbreak (fowl pest). Five outbreaks of equine influenza were diagnosed in Croatia.

According to the information of the World Organisation for Animal Health 392 outbreaks of highly dangerous diseases of animals and birds were registered worldwide in March 2015.

Thus, 7 African swine fever (ASF) outbreaks were registered in Russia:

-  in the Oryol Oblast - 1 outbreak in the village of Tatarenkova, Bolkhovsky Raion, and 1 outbreak in the village of Volovuyevo, Mtsensky Raion;

According to the information of the World Organisation for Animal Health 57 outbreaks of animal highly dangerous diseases were registered from 21 till 27 February 2015.

Outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) were reported from Lithuania (2) and Poland (3).

Outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza were registered by veterinary services of Hungary (1), Vietnam (1), China (1), Palestine (1), USA (7), Taiwan (25) and Japan (1).

Meetings of the Scientific Council of the FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” under the jurisdiction of the Rosselkhoznadzor aimed at hearing annual reports of Centre’s laboratories on research activities in 2014 were conducted on 13-14 January 2015.

According to information of the World Organisation for Animal Health 2,657 outbreaks of animal highly dangerous diseases were registered worldwide in November 2014.

Four outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) among wild boars were reported from Russia: Moscow Oblast, Narofominsk Raion, Machikhino; Bryansk Oblast, Starodub Raion, Shershevichi; Kaluga Oblast, Tarusa Raion, Lopatino and Zhukovsky Raion, Zavorovo. ASF outbreaks were also confirmed by Latvia (27), Lithuania (13) and Poland (2).

According to the data from the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) 1,321 outbreaks of animal highly dangerous diseases were registered during a period from 22 till 28 November 2014.

New outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) were reported from Russia (2 outbreaks in the Kaluga Oblast: settlement of Lopatino, Tarusa Raion, and village of Zavorovo, Zhukovsky Raion), Latvia (6), Lithuania (3) and Poland (1).
