Dry live vaccine against infectious bronchitis

Description

The vaccine is intended for prevention of infectiousbronchitis by development of active specific immunity. Dosage form is freeze-dried mass for suspension preparation. The vaccine is light brown amorphous mass or dry porous mass in the form of a tablet which completely dissolves in water within 1–2 minutes without forming flakes or sediment.

Indications

The vaccine is indicated for immunization of chicks, replacement young birds and layers against infectious bronchitis in breeding and commercial farms of different types. Non-reactogenicity and high potency of the vaccine make it the basis for disease prevention. Normal birds of any age are subject to vaccination.

Route of administration

Administer the vaccine two times at a 10–14 day interval via drinking water, intranasal and intraocular routes, or by coarse spray (according to the package leaflet). Vaccination is considered successful if antibody titers detected by ELISA 2 or more times exceed minimum positive value indicated in the used kit in at least 80% of population.

Immunity

The vaccine induces at least 3 month active immunity to the agent of infectious bronchitis in 28 days after double vaccination. One immunizing vaccine dose contains 104 EID50 of IBV (H-120). The vaccine is inoccuous, and has no therapeutic properties.

Storage conditions

The manufacturer, consumer and distributors shall store the vaccine in original boxes (and in shipping packages) in a dry and dark room at 2°C–8°C. The shelf-life of the vaccine is 12 months from the production date.
