Multistrain inactivated emulsion vaccine against infectious bronchitis

Description

The vaccine is indicated for prevention of infectious bronchitis in breeding and commercial poultry farms of different types. The dosage form is emulsion for injections. The vaccine is homogeneous white emulsion.

Indications

The vaccine is indicated for prevention of infectious bronchitis in breeding and commercial poultry farms of different types. Poultry of 90–120 days old are subject to vaccination but not later than 1 month before laying period.

Route of administration

Administer the vaccine 1 time at 0.5 cm3 dose subcutaneously in the middle third neck region or intramuscularly in the greater pectoral muscle. Prior to administration leave the vaccine for 6–9 hours at 20°C–25°C. Don’t heat the vaccine using a water-bath or heating appliances. Before or during using shake the vaccine to get homogeneous emulsion. Inject the vaccine using automatic syringes or special dosage delivery devices. Sterilize syringes and needles by 15–20 min boiling prior to vaccination. It is allowed to use disposable syringes. Sterilization of syringes and needles using chemical substances is not allowed. Disinfect the site of injection with 70% ethanol or other disinfectant. Check immunity level by testing at least 25 blood serum samples in 28 days after vaccination.

Immunity

The vaccine induces 6 month immunity response to infectious bronchitis virus in 28 days after single vaccination. Vaccination is considered successful if antibody titers detected by ELISA 2 or more times exceed minimum positive value indicated in package leaflet of the used diagnostic kit registered in the RF in at least 80% of population. Revaccinate poultry if the level of immunity is less than 80%.

Storage conditions

The shelf-life of the vaccine is 12 months from the production date given that storage and transport conditions are observed. After the expiry date the vaccine shall not be used. The vaccine is stored in a dry and dark place at 2°C–8°C. Vaccine shall not be frozen.
