Basic orientation of work

The Centre carries out researches in the framework of several Federal scientific and technical programmes of priority orientation: "Veterinary Favourable Situation", "Biological Security", as well as international projects, according to which it develops cooperation with institutions of USA, France, Germany, Finland, Poland and CIS-countries.

The Centre has a Dissertation Council for defending theses for the Candidate and Doctor degrees. For the period of Institute's existence more than 200 Candidate and 28 Doctor theses were defended.

The Centre produces biological preparations of high quality for prevention and treatment of animal diseases.

November 2008  Information statement! 21-24 October 2008 the FGI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” celebrated its 50th anniversary. In honour of this event the International Scientific Conference “Infectious Pathology of Animals” and the third veterinary-zootechnic exhibition were held. «News»

September 2008  Announcement! The Department for Scientific and Methodic Work and Analysis of Scientific Information attracts attention of researchers. The regular 6th volume of "Proceedings of the FGI "Federal Centre for Animal Health" (509 pages) has been published. It contains new information on the results of the researches in the field of animal and avian virus diseases directly connected with the scope of work of the Institute.

September 2008  Dear Colleagues! FGI «Federal Centre for Animal Health» (FGI «ARRIAH»), one of the largest scientific institutions of Russia, is 50. To celebrate this outstanding event the International Scientific Conference «Animal Infectious Pathology» and Third International Veterinary Exhibition are to be held on October 21-24, 2008.
