November 2008 Information statement!
21-24 October 2008 the FGI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” celebrated its 50th anniversary. In honour of this event the International Scientific Conference “Infectious Pathology of Animals” and the third veterinary-zootechnic exhibition were held.
The delegates and delegations from the following services and countries participated in the work of the International Scientific Conference:
The personnel of the FGI “ARRIAH” were offered congratulations by President of the OIE Regional Comission for Europe and Head of the OIE Representation for Eastern Europe Nikola Belev, Deputy Director of Rosselkhoznadzor Nikolay Anatolyevich Vlasov and representatives of the delegations from different organizations.
The participants in the conference listened to 18 reports presented by guests and the personnel of the Center.
The proceedings of the International Scientific Conference “Infectious Pathology of Animals” dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the FGI “ARRIAH” were published in a special journal issue “Russian Veterinary Journal. Farm Animals” (September, 2008) and “Veterinary Pathology” N4(23) 2007 which are included in the List of Scientific and Technical Periodicals recommended by the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles for publishing the basic results of candidate and doctor theses, besides the collection of “Proceedings of the Federal Centre for Animal Health”, vol.6, was issued. These publications contain 123 articles by the scientists of our Centre and guests.
After listening and discussing the presentations of the participants in the conference it was noted that the institute founded 50 years ago for solving only one problem of FMD has a long and diverse history.
In the festive atmosphere the personnel of the Centre were granted certificates of award, medals and valuable gifts.
September 2008 Announcement!
The Department for Scientific and Methodic Work and Analysis of Scientific Information attracts attention of researchers.
The regular 6th volume of "Proceedings of the FGI "Federal Centre for Animal Health" (509 pages) has been published.
It contains new information on the results of the researches in the field of animal and avian virus diseases directly
connected with the scope of work of the Institute.

The Department for Scientific and Methodic Work and Analysis of Scientific Information attracts attention of researchers. The regular 5th volume of "Proceedings of the FGI "Federal Centre for Animal Health" (456 pages) has been published. It contains new information on the results of the researches in the field of animal and avian virus diseases directly connected with the scope of work of the Institute. February 2007 Theoretical and practical studies aimed at the application of “Seppic” (France) adjuvants in the production of veterinary inactivated vaccines were conducted in the FGI “Federal Centre for Animal Health”. Theoretical and practical studies were conducted by Jerome Aucouturier, a representative of the “Seppic” company. The theoretical course covered issues of using adjuvants for the production of veterinary inactivated vaccines for cattle, pigs, poultry and fish. The practical course was dedicated to the production of vaccines on the basis of different emulsions and to methods for controlling parameters of those vaccines. The audience was represented by the personnel of the FGI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” (FGI “ARRIAH”), OAO “Pokrov Biological Plant” and Schyolkovo Biofactory. There were 30 participants in total.

February 2005 At the Vth International Saloon of Innovations and Investments, held in Moscow (All-Russian Exhibition Centre) on the 15-18th of February 2005, the FGI FGI «ARRIAH» has been rewarded for the competition of innovations and inventions with:
- a bronze medal and a diploma for the inactivated emulsion vaccine against salmonellosis of calves;
- a bronze medal and a diploma for the inactivated sorbat vaccine against hydropericardium syndrome.
