The Centre produces high quality biological preparations for prevention and treatment of animal diseases:
The Centre produces annually about 5 milliard doses of vaccine preparations and more than 3 600 kits for diagnosis of animal diseases. Besides, it produces more than 30 chemotherapeutic preparations including stimulating and tonic, intestinal and ruminatory agents, anesthetics, antiseptics, antibiotics, antimastitis agents, preparations for treatment of metritis and vaginitis, insecticides and disinfectants. Under the licence of the BAYER Company the Centre produces a number of preparations for animals (antibiotics, anticoccidial and antiparasitic preparations, etc.).
The FGI «Federal Centre for Animal Health» (FGI «ARRIAH») has introduced the marking of biopreparations with the aim of protecting the quality of products.
The Centre has the Department for Biological and Technological Control, where the quality of produced vaccines, diagnostic reagents and chemotherapeutic preparations is tested.The types of control are as follows: entry control, technological control and exit control. They are aimed at quality testing of raw materials and ready-to-use products using chemical, microbiological, immunobiological and other up-to-date methods including those, which are in conformity with GMP requirements. The Centre possesses the Certificate on compliance with requirements of veterinary preparation production and availability of production facilities, issued by the All-Russian Centre for Quality and Standardization of Veterinary Preparations and Feed (FGI VGNKI, Moscow). The Centre has the Experimental Centre engaged in testing food, feed and feed additives. It is accredited by GOSSTANDART of the Russian Federation.
